SCOPE Zimbabwe conducted a Food Processing and Preservation workshop for the ladies of different age groups ranging from (15-50 years). The majority came from the Star compound surrounding SCOPE offices, except for the two who came from the Hatfield area.
The organization is currently working with these women in its community-based project called River of Life (ROL) and the workshop targeted this group of people because they are mostly affected by the shortage of nutritious food. This problem is not only affecting the Star Compound, but also the whole nation at large.
The workshop took place at the SCOPE offices at Chitubu-Ecovillage from the 26th of May to the 28th of this year. It was a three-day training workshop and it was done in line with the Covid-19 regulations of not exceeding 50 people hence 23 participants.
